I regularly scour Instagram to spotlight cool happenings, curious people, and interesting stuff in Arlington, Virginia. Here’s a rundown of the best Instagram finds, including:
- A Washingtonian “Best Of” pie
- A new show by a local photographer
- And a registration deadline for youth football
The Italian Store
With a variety of products made locally in store, as well as brought in from New York and Italy, The Italian Store is a must-stop for those in our area craving New York style pizza or a delicious sub!
Livin’ The Pie Life
Thinking about dessert?! Looks like you can run by Livin’ The Pie Life (like @westsidemommy did recently) to order a Brown Butter Coconut pie, dubbed a 2017 Washingtonian “Best of.”
The Brew Shop
This local store, The Brew Shop, features all sorts of brews, including coffee and wine, but is known for their stock of local beers! Stop by for a tasting event or with a growler to top up.
Lemoncello Boutique
Back to school shopping shouldn’t only be for the kids! Moms, teachers, or any women who enjoy up-to-date fashions and support shopping locally should stop by Lemoncello Boutique. Carrying women’s apparel, accessories, home gifts, and baby clothes, it’s the perfect place to stock up on on-trend items for your home and closet.
A Broader Sense of Place by Sam Kittner
If you are seeking something to do outside of your usual everyday-type outings, consider stopping by the Fred Schnider Art Gallery to see Sam Kittner’s new photography exhibit. A local photographer exhibiting photographs of local sights, this show promises some, at minimum, beautiful views.
Arlington Art Truck
On days when viewing art just isn’t enough, consider logging on to find out where the Arlington Art Truck is so you can make art of your own! An art studio in a van, the Arlington Art Truck makes its rounds between April to October, bringing a variety of creative and cultural projects to locations near you!
Arlington Youth Football Club
End the kids’ summer on a high by registering them for football or cheer through the Arlington Youth Football Club. Registration is still open until August 3rd for their Pre Season Cheer Mini Camp, or you could register your kid(s) for the full season, August to November.
That’s it for this Arlington Instagram go ’round!
