Arlington Instagram Halloween Style

I regularly scour Instagram to spotlight cool happenings, curious people, and interesting stuff throughout Arlington, Virginia. Here’s a rundown of the best Halloween Instagram finds including:

  • Some spooky and silly costumes
  • Delicious looking sweets
  • Pumpkin tips and decorative delights

Monsters and Mischief

A costume contest like no other! Were you at The Clarendon Ballroom this past weekend? From outfits that screamed horror-chic to those that were silly and sweet, attendees sure look they had a monster of a time!

Who Says Work Can’t be Fun

Costumes aren’t just for the weekends, however. Somewhere between the wine tastings, cooking of crepes, and painting in the foam of espresso cups,  the staff at the Oby Lee Winery in Clarendon makes time for fun.

Deviously Delicious Doughnuts

Of course, Halloween isn’t just about the costumes. We could never forget the sweets and treats, and the Bakeshop always seems to have the best looking ones! Glazes and sprinkles and candy, oh my!

A Pump on a Pumpkin

With the spooky holiday also comes plenty of safety tips and suggestions for taking care of yourself, your family, and your home.  Emily Barger, the designer behind Diabetic Designs, created this amazing insulin pump pumpkin carving to remind her followers to keep their insulin levels in mind as they fill their candy bags. How cool is that?

Lighting Up your Jack O’Lantern

Speaking of safety and pumpkins, the Arlington County Fire Department posted this suggestion for lighting up your jack o’lanterns. LED lights and glow sticks are great options to reduce chances of accidental burns and fires. Another perk? Because these options don’t produce heat like a flame, your pumpkin will last longer! Last but not least,  I hope this October 31st leaves you smiling  as much as this little boy posing for his photo shoot with Lemoncello Boutique in the Lee Heights shops. Enjoy the pumpkins, the treats, and have a very happy (and safe) Halloween!
